Director Project Management Engineering, Electronics and Software

Volvo Penta is growing, and we have upgraded our organization. We are now looking for a director for the Project Management Engineering team within Electronics and Software. You will be responsible for a team with leaders such as project managers, functional safety, cyber security and system engineering leaders and a chief architect for the complete Electrical and Software architecture.


The Project Management Engineering team are responsible for the product development within a project including planning and managing the technical development, verification and production preparation for full industrialization but also to set the complete electrical and software architecture, lead the functional safety and product cyber security work cross Volvo Penta as well as setting up a system engineering structure that support the development.

Within the Electronics and Software organization we are responsible for developing electrical and software solutions for Volvo Penta applications. We have both in-house development as well as working with suppliers and partners. Our development consists of end user product features related to complete vessel/vehicle maneuvering, HMI and end user interface, electronics and cable harness design, software applications for combustion engines, fuel cell technology and electromobility, development of connected products and data management.

Key Responsibilities


You will lead and develop the team as well as each team member and support the leaders in the team with reviews, process guidance, and prioritizations.
You are an engaged participant in the management team. You have budget responsibility for the team, you handle recruitment and facilitate project gate reviews and the technical meeting for Electronics and Software.


Who are you?


We believe that you have a passion for advanced technology, setting up strategies for technology development and for leading senior technical leaders. It is likely that you have previous experience from either project and/or line management. You thrive on delivery.
