About the position
A great opportunity is now available as Director Purchasing Processes and Services within our global purchasing team. We are looking for someone who will head up the Purchasing support office, processes, and IT office enabling a purchasing function that operates in an efficient way with the right tools, data quality and processes in place to that matches the business needs and expectations. The position will be based in Gothenburg, Sweden and reports directly to the Executive Vice President of Purchasing.
Responsibilities
In this position you will be responsible for, but not limited to:
· Globally responsible to support both the direct and indirect purchasing organizations to achieve their targets by providing structure, support, processes, performance reports, controlling and IT systems
· Design, train, implement and continuously improve all global purchasing processes, including procedures, standards, guidelines and templates
· Responsible for global Purchasing IT systems and system owners
· Drive continuous improvements and development of Purchasing IT systems to match the need of the organization
· Lead, drive and plan global purchasing transformation to reach optimized efficiency
· Own the yearly Purchasing Management Team Agendas and Calendar, in alignment with the EVP Purchasing.
· Elaborate the Purchasing Business Plan in alignment with the EVP Purchasing and the Purchasing management team
· Lead special purchasing projects and initiatives
· Manage, lead and develop the team of purchasing system experts, support office and corporate responsibility expert
· Manage the agenda and host the Global Sourcing Board meetings
Requirements
· Bachelor or Master’s degree within Business Administration, Engineering or equivalent
· +10 years of experience within automotive process management and/or purchasing
· Leadership skills, personal drive and confidence to lead and work with cross functional international teams
· Proactive personality and used to support the team, ensure continuous learning and strengthens the team’s vision
· Uncompromising personal integrity
· Excellent analytical skills and strong intellectual curiosity that foster the ability to lead and work with cross functional international teams
· Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
· Able to travel as needed both internationally and domestically (up to 20%)
