We are now recruiting for a Director Quality Processes/Project Management position to join our Quality Processes team within R&D Quality Assurance. R&D QA is an independent global assurance function in AstraZeneca R&D maintaining the R&D Quality Management System and assessing quality based on audits, inspections and self-reported quality issues. What you'll do
As a Director Quality Processes/ Project Management you will be part of our ambition to raise the quality mindset across the business, deliver knowledge and results via quality improvement project to promote our quality processes across R&D. You will be responsible for leading quality related improvement projects and/or manage one or several of QAs core processes (Quality Issue, Audit, Inspection, CAPA management (spanning across AZAs a core member or lead of a Process or Quality Forum/Improvement Project you will managing key stakeholders in AZ to ensure a cross-functional approach and ensure that processes, procedures and systems are aligned. In addition you will:

Lead the design, implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the process or projects to ensure efficient, effective and transparent ways of working.

Being the key promotors and communicators of "quality mindset".
*

May occasionally conduct audits, due diligence and inspections activities.
*

Ensures own tasks are performed to current practices and in accordance with company policies, standards, SOPs and guidelines
*

Lead training for colleagues and business stakeholders as required.
*

Coach and mentors QA colleagues
*

Provide general support related to regulatory authority inspections as and when required
*

Maintain knowledge of relevant industry information affecting quality and compliance arena

With this in mind the role is best suited to candidates that thrives in a dynamic environment having an agile mindset and strategic thinking It is also important to have a 'solutions focused' attitude and the ability to generate simple solutions to complex challenges. You communicate effectively with QA colleagues and business stakeholders, promoting a culture of ethics, integrity and continuous improvement that focuses on delivering efficiencies and planned business benefits.

Essential for the role

Degree level education, or significant experience in pharmaceuticals or a related industry
*

Project Management and Change Enablement experience
*

Excellent analytical, written and oral communications skills
*

Fluent in written and spoken English
*

Strong collaborative, influencing and interpersonal skills - curious to understand business environment
*

Skilled at managing & using technology
*

Ability to maintain and create professional networks with stakeholders
*

Process Management and process improvement methodologies

Desirable for the role

*

Experience in managing regulatory health authority GxP Inspections
*

Audit expertise
*

Quality System Management Knowledge
