GTT is now looking for a Director, Service and Parts Assortment Engineering, Aftermarket Technology.
Aftermarket Technology (AMT) is a global entity working to maximize the uptime of the vehicles for Volvo Group Trucks brands. Customers’ success is our focus.
We have offices in seven of the main Volvo Group Trucks Technology locations and are a truly global organization.
Active in all R&D activities, we are engaged in future technologies for both vehicles and uptime services. We are focusing on connectivity, digitization and predictive care for our customers.
We are accountable for the maintainability of the vehicles: by influencing the design and the technology choices, we make our vehicles and components easy to maintain, we improve the vehicle uptime, customers’ success and thus the Volvo Group profitability.
For each vehicle launched on the market, we deliver Diagnostic solutions, operations and procedures, Spare Parts assortment and information, Repair and Maintenance Solutions, Special Tools and Standard Times.
Job Summary
You are a member of the Aftermarket Technology management team.
You are the direct manager of the Service and Parts Assortment Engineering (SPAE) function that entails operations in our five main sites. This function supports all brands in all markets.

For, you lead the team to acquire knowledge about the technology and the competitiveness of our solutions. With this, you enhance our ability to influence the services supporting future transport solutions.

You develop the competences and the ways of working to increase the speed of development of connected solutions, data-driven services and predictive care for our customers.
As our representative in the Service and Parts domain, you manage and develop the network necessary to achieve our targets: Brands, Group IT, Group Trucks Technology, Group Trucks Purchasing and Group Trucks Operations (especially Service Market Logistics). Aftermarket Technology deliveries are the key contributors to the Volvo Group joint Aftermarket revenues.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
You are responsible and accountable for leading and developing Service and Parts Assortment Engineering. You are responsible for developing the global functions in close collaboration with the global Directors within the AMT management.
You have the responsibility for budget, investments and resources of SPAE.
You are empowered and accountable for the SPAE deliveries in all sites. You represent Aftermarket Technology in various governance forums managing the Service and Parts domain.
As a member of the Aftermarket Technology global management team you also have responsibilities to develop the total AMT towards set objectives.
Education & Experience
You have a master’s degree in engineering or equivalent
You have at least 5 years’ of experience in the automotive engineering domain or in the aftermarket business
You demonstrate 5 years of experience in leading leaders in a global environment
