Dispatcher/Analyst till Vattenfall Markets

Nordic Dispatch does all the steering and optimization of Vattenfall energy production units within the Nordics as well as sales of ancillary services to help keeping the balance in the market.
We plan and forecast our energy production for the upcoming 24 hours and make sure to use the most economically favorable mix of production units. We cooperate with other units internally to make the best plan to maximize income from Vattenfall’s production units over the year. It is also our responsibility to keep the market informed about planned disruptions in our production.
Nordic Dispatch analyzes the market throughout the day and continuously optimizes Vattenfall’s production portfolio.
As a Dispatcher you will have a great opportunity to create a broad network, both within Vattenfall and outside, as we work in close collaboration with our colleagues in weekly and monthly planning as well as people in operation centers in Vattenfall and Svenska Kraftnät.
The position entails both an operational and strategic part where development of the business is interspersed with operational work in the form of 3 shifts. The combination of shift and office-work makes the role very interesting and developing and gives you a truly deep understanding of how the energy market works.

Since there is a partial shift position, there will be free days between your work shifts for recovery. Of course, we follow industry agreements for shift personnel in all aspects.


Qualifications
A relevant academic degree and/or Operation Center Training
A true will to learn to become an excellent Dispatcher
Fluent Swedish and English, both written and spoken


You as a person
You have the ability to keep your calm and make quick decisions despite sometimes limited information. Your ability to plan and prioritize different tasks as well as keep set time frames is very well developed. You like to belong and work in a team but will take responsibility for your tasks. Adapting solutions to new or changed conditions is your usual way of behavior.
