Global Logistics is a part of Global Supply Chain & Strategy, and are based in 39 different countries across the world. The Logistics Team are responsible for leading the distribution of all products, delivered through +1200 routes around the world. That's 100% of AZ's commercial shipments between points in the supply chain, from international freight logistics right through to in-country distribution; getting medicines from factory to customer. We are a Process Centric Organization with high focus on cross-functional team work.



We now have the exciting opportunity to welcome our next Distribution Manager to the Team!



As a Distribution Manager you will be responsible for ensuring successful distribution to customers in the Nordic and Baltic markets through management of multiple logistics service providers and delivering project and operational goals in line with Global Logistics Function procedures.

The key to success in this role is ensuring customers receive AstraZeneca's products on time and in full, to the right quality, while achieving the agreed budget. This will be achieved through close collaboration and influencing with supply sites, the LSPs (logistics service provider) and Commercial colleagues. The successful candidate will maintain excellent distribution performance through lean leadership & problem solving, collaboration, and putting the patient first.



Responsibilities

* Support Supplier & Freight Management both Operational and Tactical
* Ensure NoBa Distribution is compliant with all relevant local requirements and in accordance with GPD, GMP & GxP including supporting colleagues with daily operational tasks and improvements.
* Lead Divestments and other projects across the Nordics and Baltics
* Support New Launches, Clinical trials, one off sales & Reworks
* Support Budget and Cost reporting for NoBa
* Lead sales reporting for our Swedish Logistics Service Provider (LSP) and act as interface owner for AZ system integrations with the LSP
* Lead NoBa GLF Stock management and SOX reporting



Requirements:

* Supply chain / logistics experience and knowledge, especially in the area of international distribution of pharmaceutical products
* Experience from involvement in project planning and implementation
* Good knowledge of enterprise resource planning systems (i.e SAP)
* Fluent in English
* Analytical capability
* Good knowledge of LEAN (especially root cause analysis and continuous improvement)


Preferred Background:

* Professional qualification in Distribution / logistics / supply chain management
* IT / integration skills
* Financial management experience (eg. budget management)
* Project management experience & qualification
* Experience working internationally or in global teams
