Divisional Accountant to Appco Group in Malmö

Job description

We are currently looking to recruit a Divisional Accountan to run all financial matters for Appco Group and its associated Marketing Companies. This is a highly business-facing role and offers excellent development in all financial disciplines. Since it is a mixed role you will be able to look at the bigger picture but importantly get behind the numbers from the ground up and do the analysis.

Reporting to: General Manager Sweden /European Divisional Accountant (UK based)

Job specification:
• Fully responsible for production of Management accounts for all companies (P&L/Balance Sheet) and supporting reconciliations.
• Communication of financial results along with appropriate commentary on the results / trend.
• Calculation of overrides (Gross Incentive Payments – commission) for all applicable parties.
• Discuss regularly trends and work on actions to improve profitability of Division as requested.
• Responsible for the accounting recognition of revenue and reject provisions.
• Responsible for compiling weekly short term Cashflow forecasts.
• Maintain the accuracy of all payrolls & related tax matters.
• Calculate profitability of campaigns and involvement in setting forecast models for new campaigns.
• Work closely with operations staff in division to examine financial impact of transactions and agreements.
• Liaise closely with operations on Reporting of sales and approval rates.
• Maintain all bookkeeping (Purchase, Sales, General) and cashbook for Appco and associated marketing companies.
• Ensure that all payments are made to time and that sales ledger invoices are collected to terms.
• Perform other ad hoc work as requested.
• Produce year-end packs and statutory accounts for division and workings for Corporation Tax as requested. Liaison with External Auditors at year-end.
• Continuous system and process improvements of reporting and data conversion.



Qualifications

We are looking for a person with excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely in an operating team.
You are able to understand the business and its trends whilst dealing with the accounting details.

You have at least intermediate hands-on excel skills and experience of Accounting package, Great Plains is an advantage.
Experience in working on Krona or a similar payroll software is also an advantage.
