Are you a strong team player ready to join an experienced team, bring in your curiosity, critical thinking, open mind, positive attitude, and your ability to lead NVH CAE development for mobility solutions?
We need to strengthen our HW (Hardware) team with an NVH CAE engineer. You will network between CAE, design and testing to strive to develop a CAE-led design of electrified powertrains. Your work will be key to create the right prerequisites for an outstanding NVH performance of our products.
As an experienced CAE engineer you will take an active part of system development in the field of NVH. We aim to develop our CAE work with the following mindset: IDENTIFY, EXPLAIN AND IMPROVE. In other words, we pursue to develop a deep understanding of the physics involved in NVH phenomena in order to be able to explain and ultimately provide design suggestions. The development of CAE work is carried out in collaboration with design and testing teams therefore the ability to present your ideas and thoughts in a clear and structured way is of paramount importance in this position.

As NVH CAE engineer you will be based in Lindholmen, Gothenburg.
Responsibilities and tasks
- Support project’s requests related to NVH CAE work
- Perform structural dynamic analyses and parametric studies of transmission components and e-machines
- Perform transmission dynamics analysis of gear excited noise
- Perform torsional dynamic analysis of components in the transmission
- Perform acoustic analysis of transmission housing surface vibration
- Through simulations: Identify & Explain mechanics/physics behind different NVH phenomena in the transmission and e-machines
- Provide advice on potential design improvements to avoid/mitigate NVH issues
- Drive the development/creation of simulation methodologies for NVH
- Advice on NVH measurements both in rig and in vehicle for correlation purposes
- Advice the organization on NVH related topics like requirement specifications
- Advice/Lead focus/task force groups related to NVH
Requirements
- Extensive experience with NVH (at least 10 years of experience)
- Experience with structural analysis of machines is of great advantage
- Experience with dynamic analysis of machines is of great advantage
- Experience in NVH measurements is of great advantage
- Experience of working cross functionally and globally
- Experience with Powertrain development is a merit
