Doctoral Student in Business Administration - Service Innovation Karlstad University is looking for a doctoral student in the field of business administration.Doctoral studies at Karlstad University are conducted in 23 subjects - business administration being one of them. The business administration research conducted at Karlstad University covers several different fields.We are now advertising a position as a doctoral student in business administration within the profile area of service research specializing in service innovation (on the proviso that the necessary decisions are made).The thesis project focuses on employee involvement in service innovation processes and on the management and organisation of service innovation. Eligibility and assessment criteria Applicants will be eligible if they meet the conditions governing both basic and specific eligibility.Basic eligibility means that you have taken a degree on the advanced level and met course requirements of at least 240 credits, of which at least 60 are on the advanced level, or that in some other way, inside or outside this country, you have acquired essentially equivalent knowledge.Specific eligibility means that, within the fulfilled course requirements, you have conducted studies of at least 120 credits in business administration (see the study plan for doctoral studies in business administration).It is important that your field of interest coincides with the programme structure of the profile area of service research (see www.ctf.kau.se), as well as the envisaged specialization of the appointment.Proficiency in English is a requirement.It should also be understood that the thesis project is expected to collect data at workplaces in Sweden.Selection Selection will take place following individual scrutiny and will be based on an assessment of the applicant's ability to assimilate the doctoral studies.Because the thesis project is expected to collect data at workplaces in Sweden, the applicant's ability to learn and use Swedish will also be gauged in the selection process.The position is to be occupied as soon as possible.You will be stationed at Karlstad.Your employment as a doctoral student will have a maximum duration of 4 years; however, an extension of up to 1 year will be possible if your duties alongside your doctoral studies also encompass other research, education, or administration.These duties may at most comprise 20 percent of your full working hours.
