DOCTORAL STUDENT IN COMMUNMICATION SYSTEMS

The division of communications
systems(www.commsys.isy.liu.se) conducts research and education in the general area of digital and wireless communications. Current projects deal with coding and signal processing for large MIMO (multiantenna) systems, and signal processing for source localization. We work with applied problems as well as with more fundamental questions. Some of our research is conducted in close cooperation with industry.
Work description: A doctoral student primarly conducts research and takes relevant courses. A doctoral student is also normally assigned teaching and administrative duties. Such work may not exceed 20% of full time.
Qualifications: The candidate should have M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering or equivalent and must have a very strong background in mathematics, and strong analytical skills. The candidate must have good working knowledge of the English language.
