Project title: Microbiology of Baltic Sea Sediments
The research project will investigate the microorganisms present in Baltic Sea sediments in relation to changing oxygen concentrations and climate change.
The project will use high throughput nucleic acid sequencing to link the microorganisms present, their metabolic capabilities, and the processes they carry out in response to changing environmental conditions and how this affects nutrient fluxes.
