Job description

The University of Borås is now seeking a doctoral student for employment at the Department of Resource Recovery and Building Technology. The doctoral student will be part of the research group Polymer Technologies and the position includes studies of renewable polymeric materials in order to be able to develop environmentally sustainable polymeric materials adapted to the circular economy. Initially, the doctoral project focuses on the utilisation of nanocellulose in emulsion-polymerised bio-based latex materials, which can be used in paint and varnish as well as the surface treatment of textiles and in composites.

In doctoral studentship employment, you conduct your own doctoral studies within the above-mentioned research project. In addition to your doctoral studies, teaching in the relevant field or other departmental duties constitute up to 20% of full-time. The total length of time for the doctoral studies is then extended to a corresponding degree.
