One position, full time (100%), with start from September 1, 2010.Jönköping International Business School (JIBS) serves regional and global needs by educating entrepreneurial leaders and business creators.JIBS shall be recognized as providing innovative leadership in research, education and service to society within entrepreneurship and business renewal.JIBS is one of four schools within Jönköping University and has about 2200 students and 200 employees of which 80 are PhD students.. The Department of Law has a strong international profile and reputation.Its main on-going research projects are related to International Tax Law, European VAT Law, EC Law, and Company Law.Several of our recent doctoral students have won prestigious international awards for their doctoral theses.As part of our growth strategy, we are now looking for a new doctoral student.The teaching at the Department of Law is conducted both in the Swedish and English language and the candidate is expected to speak and write both languages fluently.WORKING TASKS / QUALIFICATIONS As a doctoral student, working full-time, at least 70 per cent of your time is devoted to your doctoral research.Doctoral research includes coursework and writing a doctoral thesis.The remaining time is allocated to teaching and administrative tasks. The applicant should hold a Master's Degree (or similar) in Law or in a related subject area.*We seek candidates who have the ambition to pursue an international research career and wish to combine a high level of scholarship with research that is relevant to practice.As an international business school, we highly value skills in other languages than Swedish and English, and it is considered an additional qualification for candidates to have an international outlook as well as prior teaching and/or industry experience.Göran Wahlgren, Department Head.
