Job description
The doctoral studentship position refers to full-time doctoral studies within the interdisciplinary research project "Local Bio-Based Residual Streams with Potential Use in Textile and Fashion Industry (LBRSTex)" which is co-financed by the Sjuhärad Savings Bank Foundation. You will be part of and collaborate with various research groups such as Textile Value Chain Management, B2B Relationship Management and Advanced Textile Structures at the Swedish School of Textiles at the University of Borås.

About the research project
In the area of Textile Management, research in the management of textile value chains has mainly focused on investigating and developing "new" structures, models and forms that can create opportunities for sustainable value creation for companies in the textile and fashion industry as well as for society at large. The recruitment of a doctoral student in textile management at the Department of Business Administration and Textile Management is part of our efforts to strengthen the research environment in textile management.

Qualifications
Employment is on the condition that the applicant meets the requirements and is admitted as a doctoral student at the University of Borås. Admission is to the doctoral programme in textile management.

Requirements:


• Master's degree in textile management or equivalent subjects such as business administration and industrial engineering and management
• Good ability to communicate both in writing and orally in English
• Good collaboration skills
• Good initiative-taking skills
• Ability to work independently and in a structured manner
• Ability to work within given time frames and to prioritise among different tasks

Merits:


• Experience of conducting research on supply chain management, preferably in textiles and fashion or similar industrial sectors
• Practical experience of working in the textile and fashion industry, with a possible focus on sustainability.
• Basic knowledge of textile materials and processes.
• Experience in producing scientific publications.
• Proficiency in using innovative and creative methods to communicate or disseminate research
• Good ability to communicate both in writing and orally in Swedish

Type of employment: Doctoral studentship employment is conducted in accordance with the regulations outlined in Chapter 5 of the Higher Education Ordinance.
Employment rate: 100 %
