We are looking for a Document Management and Technical Authoring Specialist for one of our renowned client
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather and understand technical information and requirements for documentation projects.
- Create and update technical documents, including user manuals, installation guides, API documentation, release notes, and troubleshooting guides.
- Organize and structure complex technical information into clear and logical documents, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to established standards.
- Edit, proofread, and format documents to ensure clarity, consistency, and adherence to style guidelines.
- Maintain version control and document change management processes, ensuring that all versions are properly stored, labeled, and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Cyber Change Delivery, to ensure documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with product developments and releases.
- Implement and maintain document management systems and tools, ensuring easy access, retrieval, and archiving of documents.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits of existing documentation to identify areas for improvement, update outdated information, and enhance overall quality.
- Train and support users in the effective use of document management systems and tools.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements related to document management and technical authoring.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as technical writing, computer science, or engineering. Proven experience in technical writing, technical authoring, or related roles.
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), version control systems, and document management tools.
- Working experience in Atlassian Confluence.
- Familiarity with network management and networking technologies such as subnetting, switching, routing, etc. Familiar with server technologies, converged and hyper converged infrastructure (e.g., Cisco UCS / Hyperflex). Strong understanding of document organization, formatting, and information architecture principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and clarity. Ability to work independently and manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with subject matter experts and translating technical information into user-friendly documentation.
- Knowledge of agile methodologies is a plus.
