Dog mushers

Snowhotel Kirkenes AS is offering a wide range of activities both in summer and winter time. We are situated approximately 10 km outside of Kirkenes which lies in the beautifully rugged landscape of northern Norway. For the next winter season, we are looking for new dog mushers to help us training our lovely 130 Alaskan Huskies in autumn and to support us during the winter season in our dog kennel.

What we would like you to bring:
- You should love to work both with animals and humans and you shouldn't be shy of guiding and talking to our guests
- Good physical condition and being able of lifting weights up to 20 kg
- You should love the cold because temperatures can drop down to -30C and we have to take care of the dogs and tourists in all kinds of weather
- Language skills: English is our official working language
- European driving license class B
- A "yes-I-can-do-it"-attitude
- A good sense of humour to survive the long and dark polar night

What we offer:
- Handling and training huskies, driving dog sleds and wagons, guiding tourists - we have an experienced core staff that will teach you what you need to know for the job
- Basic work clothing and equipment will be provided
- Seasonal contract for the winter season. Since we offer activities all year round, extending the contract after the season is certainly an option
- Accommodation can be provided at a very low rent and daily comforts like internet, electricity, water and sauna are included in the price
- Salary according to qualification
