At Thermal Management we are responsible for developing and maintaining optimized vehicle cooling and heating systems for all types of propulsion installations for all truck brands within the Volvo Group. We own the strategies for our technical areas and are accountable for securing the quality of the solutions that we deliver to our customers worldwide. We are a diverse, global and highly qualified team of engineers with extensive experience from developing vehicle thermal management systems. What you will do?
Your role in the Cooling Module Hardware team within Thermal Management will be to develop e-fan solutions that will be key to achieve optimized vehicle thermal systems securing tasks connected to the overall Thermal Management roadmap. You will perform this work in close collaboration with our suppliers and cross-functional network. You will do this with great passion by applying and continuously developing your technical skills as well as your ability to make a team collaborate efficiently to reach a common goal.
Who are we looking for?
In order to be successful in this role it is important that you recognize yourself in the following description:-
Relevant Experience
Solid experience from development of electrical and thermal hardware components within the automotive or transportation industry
Solid knowledge in thermodynamics and development of mechatronic components
Knowledge in vehicle software development and embedded electronic
Structured way of working and ability to deliver on complex tasks with excellence
You are a true team player, self-driven with positive, global and problem solving mind-set and you possess excellent communication skills
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
Meritorious to have
Knowledge of CAD tools and Volvo systems
Applicants shall have a M.Sc degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics or Electronic Engineering or equivalent relevant work experience.
