Trading and Asset Optimisation (TAO) organisation optimises the best price for electricity production and consumption and hedges earnings from these operations with commodity derivatives far into the future. About 95 TWh of physical electricity trading and about 200 TWh of trading in commodity derivatives pass through TAO each year. We operate in several commodity exchanges such as Nasdaq Commodities and ICE, as well as physical electricity markets, Nord Pool and TGE (Polish Power Exchange). We also operate Fortum’s hydro plants to enable total optimisation of our hydro fleet in the volatile energy market. In-depth understanding of the electricity business and market knowledge are an essential part of TAO's business. In addition, TAO Ventures pilots new start-ups such as Fortum Spring.
Your role
We are looking for a E2E business developer to join our E2E business team in Stockholm. The E2E team is part of Physical Trading unit which is responsible for optimizing Fortum’s Hydro, Nuclear and Wind portfolio and trading them on the day-ahead, intraday and ancillary services markets. We are also responsible for consumption forecasting and procuring of electricity for our 2,4 million retail and B2B customers. You will be a part of a team which is developing our tools and processes further to meet the market changes ahead on the physical power markets in coming years. You will:
· Work with optimization problems, knowledge of Fortum assets is seen as a benefit
· Work with data and analytics
· Work as a bridge between business and development

The energy landscape is changing rapidly and more focus needs to be put on understanding the big picture and how we can take our physical trading to the next level. You will be one of the key players in developing our trading platform further.
Your qualifications
In order to succeed and lead our business further we expect you to have the interest towards business development, optimization and modeling. Requirements for the position:
· Master's degree in an Operations Research, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or Mathematics with passion for developing the energy trading.
· At least 2 years’ experience working with business development tasks including IT development. It is to your advantage if you have experience from working with asset optimization and hydro power.
· Strong analytical thinking and numerical skills
· VBA programming skills are a must and other programming languages like Matlab/Python are seen as an advantage.
· Ability to work independently and perform well under time pressure
· We are a Pan-Nordic team both written and spoken English is a prerequisite. It is an advantage if you master one of the Nordic languages as well.
