About this opportunity
We are looking for a Service Area Solution Architect at Shared Telecom Services for creating solutions to user requirements for 4G & 5G telco end-to-end networks.
You will work in a team of Solution Architects, Integration Engineers, network engineers, and Project Managers that together are responsible for the operations and development of the telecom solutions. The team spans the world in multiple time zones as members are located in Europe (Sweden, Spain and Ireland), Canada, and China.
The environment is used by various PDUs/MA to E2E validate network functions during software development and delivery. Multiple domains are always involved requiring you to have broad competence for
different telco products. The role involves working with the latest technologies in 5G and Cloud.
What you will do
Work closely with the Area Product Owner to scope, define and design solution offerings
Analyze customer requirements, define hardware and Software Dimensioning
Driving end-to-end technical solutions, developing technical presentations and proposals
Realize architecture network design with HLDs and LLDs when it's needed
Support deployment of the solution and guide the team for successful delivery
Define the evolution of the existing and new solutions.
Maintain knowledge of the E2E especially Core and Cloud products and solution offerings
Participate in knowledge transfer, documentation, and information sharing
You will bring
University degree or equivalent
E2E technical understanding of telecom networks
Hands-on delivery & SA experience on Ericsson or other vendor products
Primary area of expertise: 5+ years in Packet Core products covering both 4G and 5G (EPC and 5GC), knowledge of Ericsson products is preferable
Secondary domain knowledge: RAN, IMS and UDM
Knowledge of Virtualization and Cloud technologies (OpenStack, Docker/Container, Kubernetes)
Good IP Networking skills. Plus is knowledge of MPBN/EIN
Great oral and verbal communication, critical and analytical thinking, problem-solving, active listening/hearing, thought leadership
Proficient in English
Very good proactive mindset – always include a broader scope in mind when handling customer requests
