The International School of Helsingborg has provided a truly international education at the Primary and Secondary levels since 1995. Today, we have approximately 850 students between 2 and 19 years of age, across all programmes. We are an IB Continuum school, delivering the International Baccalaureate curriculum for all program levels. English is the primary language of learning at the school.

Job description
As an early years assistant, your role will be to organize and monitor activities for the students, ages 2-5 in the early years program. You will work with a team of early years teachers and will be expected to interact with the students in a caring manner. You will be expected to lead a group of students with positive behavior management techniques. You will be expected to work together in a team with the early years colleagues in order to plan engaging activities for the students. The hours vary on a daily basis approximately between 07:00 and 18:00 each day.
The position includes supporting students and teachers in the regular classroom during the school day in addition to after-school activities. We are looking for someone who works well in a team. You are positive, open minded and flexible. When working with the students, you are consistent and kind. You take the time to get to know the students and build relationships with them. You take initiative within organizing activities and helping to make early years a place students enjoy.
Qualifications
A degree or certificate within early years and/or in primary education is required.
The successful candidate will have at least two years’ experience working with groups of kids in the ages 2-5, including working with children with various support needs.
The primary language of the school is English. Therefore, it is critical and required that any candidates are able to read, write and speak in English fluently.
Priority will be given to candidates who are also fluent in Swedish.
