The International School of Helsingborg has provided a truly international education at the Primary and Secondary levels since 1995. Today, we have approximately 850 students between 2 and 19 years of age, across all programmes. We are an IB Continuum school, delivering the International Baccalaureate curriculum for all program levels.  English is the primary language of learning at the school.

Job description
As an early years class teacher, your role will be to plan, organise, and carry out lessons for the students, ages 3-5 in the early years programme. You will have the overall responsibility for the pastoral care of the students and close contact with the parents. You will work closely with the other teachers in our school following the philosophy of the IB education. You will be expected to interact with the students in a caring, positive manner, and be professional and flexible, towards colleagues and the greater school community.

Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a teacher degree and teaching qualification as well work experience with early years students aged 3-5. It is also preferred that you have experience with the IB Primary Years Programme, its philosophy and curriculum.

Since we work in an international environment it is a requirement for the position to be fluent in English, both oral and written as well as methodology for teaching English to children.

We are looking for a team player and a positive, open minded and flexible person. When working with the students, you will be fair, kind and goal oriented. As a class teacher you will take the time to get to know the students and speak with them, creating relationships with them and supporting individual learning needs. In your role you will take initiative to make the school a place where students thrive.
