At Heart Aerospace we develop the ES-30, a regional electric airplane with a capacity of 30 passengers driven by electric motors with battery derived energy. The ES-30 is expected to enter into service in 2028.

We are now looking for an EASA Part 21 Compliance Engineer to join our Independent System Monitoring team in Gothenburg. Do you have experience in Quality Assurance or Independent System Monitoring within aerospace and want to contribute to a more sustainable future?

Your mission

The EASA Part 21 Compliance Engineer will help us to ensure the compliance of our Design Management System with EASA Part-21 regulations.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Support the Design Organisation Approval Process (DOA) according to EASA Part21,
- Prepare, update, and review the relevant DOA procedures,
- Prepare the Audit and Surveillance Plans,
- Conduct the internal audits within the Design Organisation, including the follow-up activities to ensure the closure of corrective action plans,
- Conduct the design supplier audits, either desktop or on-site, and perform the follow-up activities to ensure the closure of corrective action plans,
- Support the process owners to conduct the Root Cause Analysis; define the corrective actions and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions,
- Prepare the Audit and Surveillance Reports.

You will report to the Head of Independent System Monitoring and the team consists of 3 people. Your place of work will be at our main office located in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Qualifications & Experience

- Graduate degree in aerospace or similar engineering discipline, or equivalent experience,
- Minimum 5 years of experience within the Quality Assurance or ISM (Independent System Monitoring) Department in an aviation company,
- Working knowledge of EASA Part 21,
- Experience in audit planning & execution for aerospace engineering departments and suppliers,
- A strong compliance and detail-oriented mindset,
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills in English,
- Eagerness to work with others,
- Passion for aircraft and electrification of the aviation industry.

The ideal candidate would have

- Experience working in an aerospace start-up environment,
- Working knowledge of AS9100D.
