EASTERN EUROPE SOURCING MANAGER

Husqvarna is a successful company where increased sourcing from Low Cost Countries is an important part of the purchasing strategy.However, we are convinced that sourcing from Eastern Europe holds many unexplored opportunities for certain commodities.

We are now looking for a Sourcing Manager to take the overall strategic responsibility to secure and develop our sourcing in Eastern Europe.
Initially you need to thoroughly understand the Husqvarna business with it's special needs and requirements with respect to components and suppliers.Following this you will evaluate and select the most suitable suppliers together with respective commodity responsible and factories, in line with the Husqvarna Purchasing Process.

To succeed in this position we are looking for a person with a solid experience and current knowledge about the supplier base in Eastern Europe for certain commodities such as metal components, castings, plastic and rubber components.You need to have 10 years of experience working with sourcing/purchasing in Eastern Europe with excellent results.Experience from a larger international company and other areas such as R&D, quality, production and logistics are of course a merit.Most likely you have a University Degree in Engineering or International Business, but hands-on experience is more important than formal education.

You will report to the Senior Vice President Consumer and Professional Purchasing.We estimate the number of business overnight stays to 100-130 per year.

It is mandatory that you have very good skills in English.Preferably you have additional language skills in German and possibly any other language in Eastern Europe.The position as Eastern Europe Sourcing Manager is based at the Husqvarna HQ in Huskvarna, Sweden.
