Right now we are looking for a Component owner of EATS- Exhaust Aftertreatment Systems, to be part of the EATS and Auxiliary Systems team, a department within Sustainable Power Systems organization

A skilled and great team of persons working as design engineers, system engineers and calibration engineers. We all share a high motivation to secure that our products exceed the expectations our customers have. This is done by working with quality, reliability, uptime and cost in mind in our initiatives for new products and maintenance of existing products.
We adapt to changes around us and we are pro-active and forward thinking to prepare us for the future technologies which will transform our products and offers.
Our team is located in Eskilstuna, Sweden, but we serve all product platforms at Volvo CE, meaning we have a very global network.


What we need you to do
With a product lifecycle mindset you will drive and secure deliveries in ongoing initiatives for both New product development and Product improvements. As a Component Owner EATS, you will be one of the main players in these initiatives, ensuring customer expectations .This is critical to ensure that our products get quality, reliability uptime and cost. Since the department is in a transition phase into new sustainable technologies, you see this transition as a bit of extra spice.


What do you bring with you?
You are a true team player who also can work individually. You have a natural understanding of the customer needs. You are a solution oriented person with the ability to see the bigger picture. Your main work will be hardware related, but you are interested in calibration and diagnosis of your component and systems. You have experience from hardware design, preferably related to internal combustion engines. Engineering tools, like CAD and PLM, you have experience from. What you don’t know today, you are eager and willing to learn. You also understand the meaning of Systems Engineering. To be successful in this role you need to be a good communicator and have the ability to work cross functional and in multicultural teams.


Who are you?
A devoted engineer, M.Sc or B.Sc, with a couple of years of experience from design work in mechanical area. Preferably, but not necessarily, you have gained your design engineer experience in automotive business, or in supplier chain to automotive business. If your design experience has been built from combustion engine areas, this would be seen as an additional advantage. You are used to work as a part of a team, responsible for your deliveries. Challenges, you see as opportunities, and you also enjoy working together with people.
