What we offer
Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to work with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) within the Supplier Logistics Assurance (SLA), team EMEA. You will work with development projects within the area of EDI and to serve as the primary regional EDI technical resource for Volvo Cars Operations. You will be part of a global team and work closely together with our regions and EDI process owner to develop global standards and processes.
Your key tasks
As EDI Specialist, you will work with development, processes, and standards of EDI. You will support colleagues, suppliers & IT provider during project and running production phase for 100% EDI communication.
In this role, you will drive process improvements within the EDI landscape, including supplier EDI relationships, Enterprise Digital collaboration, and 3rd party EDI guidance. You will support changes to EDI message content and EDI message flows as business needs evolve. Further, you actively educate Volvo Cars Operations to promote understanding of EDI and its impact on business and production.
Moreover, you serve as the technical resource supporting running EDI, trouble shooting on EDI message formats, structures, and data content. You will participate in Global development projects within EDI and engage with global EDI organizations in support of Volvo Cars. You will handle tracking and communication of EDI related metrics as required.
As EDI Specialist you serve as the resource concerning the supply chain label content and its relationship to EDI messages. You will coordinate EDI implementations of existing suppliers to new versions of EDI Message types as required. You will also re-establish EDI activities with suppliers when there is a change in supplier IT migration and/or system.
You and your skills
To be successful in this position you have experience of working with EDI and preferable Logistics and/or Production. You need to have an understanding for business needs, supply chain processes, material handling, packaging and you have a relevant academic degree. Communication and interpersonal skills, in line with Volvo Cars core competencies: drives result, builds trust, collaborates and self-development are key in this role and you are fluent in English.
Experience of EDI between supplier and plants is an advantage. Since you will work in different projects, project leader competence will help you. The right candidate has good knowledge in office package (especially Excel) but also SharePoint experience is an advantage.
