CEVT is an innovation centre for the future cars of the Geely Group with the purpose of being at the forefront of new developments in the automotive industry. System Engineer - EE Domain Architect
EE Architecture is responsible for the in-vehicle electrical architecture design including topology, function allocation, vehicle mode management, schematics, signal database and network management.
More connected and complex vehicles including solutions for Autonomy, V2X and Over The Air updates are putting higher demand on the electrical architecture and base concepts.
Our team plays an important role in the core development of the electrical engineering in the Geely Group, and are involved all the way from setting strategy and concept development for next generation electrical architecture to implementation and verification.
We are currently expanding our team and are recruiting two System Engineers – EE Domain Architects. In this role you will be working with the electrical architecture for the future Geely, Volvo, Lynk&Co, Smart & Lotus vehicle platforms. You will work close to Geely’s Architecture team in China and travelling will be required.
In this role you will belong to a team of around 20 highly qualified individuals, and the team is characterized by a lot of energy and a high tempo with continuous changes and challenging work tasks. We work in close collaboration with our Chinese colleagues and we see many interesting new developments coming up in the future.
Key areas that you will be responsible in this role are:
* Participate in architectural / functional / concept investigations for future and current electrical systems
* Lead resolution of electrical system issues on future platforms.
* Guide subsystem owners in best practice design
* Act to resolve disputes and make tradeoffs.
* Responsible for overseeing, guide and approve function allocation
* Responsible to find common solutions x-platform and to reduce complexity
* Support subsystem owners with VFC to LC mapping including creating activation requirements
* Support subsystem owners with ”best practice subsystem design”
* Support subsystem owners to create System Design Descriptions
Qualifications:
* B.Sc. or M.Sc. eng.
* At least 5 years' experience from automotive industry.
* Experience in System Safety (ISO26262) is very advantageous.
* Good experience of automotive electrical system development.
* Experience in Signal Database work is very advantageous.
* Experience in S-EDS and Power Supply is very advantageous.
* Good competence of in-vehicle communication and SW engineering.
* Experience from Volvo Car or CEVT projects is very advantageous.
Software and IT:
* MS office, sharepoint.
* Experience in Systemweaver is an advantage.
Personal attributes:
* Team player with good communication skills.
* Self-driven and comfortable with high workload.
* Cultural awareness, especially Chinese - Western culture.
