Efficiency Manager

Supply Chain Manufacturing, within Sandvik Mining, is a production organization that supports PA Tools and Services and operates at eleven geographical sites in six different countries and has around 1,700 full time employees, including about 280 third party employees in some form or another. We have production processes for cemented carbide production, heat treatment and machining of steel as our basic technologies.

We are now looking for an Efficiency Manager, who will have the opportunity to coordinate global production development within Product Area Tools and Services. We are offering a global position within Sandvik Mining, PA Tools and Services.

The location for this position is preferably based in Sandviken.

Key performance areas
As Efficiency Manager you will be responsible for developing the efficiency department of PA Tools and Services, Manufacturing. This includes:

- Continuous development of your team and the ways of working
- Ensuring personal and team safety and promoting a "Safety First" culture
- Coordinating Efficiency Projects within Manufacturing, such as process time reduction, set-up time reduction and lead time reduction projects
- Developing tools and implementing lean manufacturing principles
- Coordinating establishing benchmarks and improvement projects
- Leading cooperation and sharing of best practice between production units, in order to speed up the improvement process towards world class supply
- Monitor, follow-up and communicate the results in relation to the business targets

This position includes global traveling.

Your profile
You hold a Master's or Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management, with a minimum of five years' experience from a relevant area, preferably from managing a production unit. Management and/or project management experience is required, as are project management skills. LEAN manufacturing or Six Sigma experience is advantageous. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are required for this position.
