There are only a few people with that competence in the world, and you will find a number of them at ABB in Ludvika. You will work with technically challenging products which spans over several technological areas ? for example heat transferring, electrical insulation, strength and material technology. As a co-worker at ABB, you will find great development opportunities and career paths within the business, both as a specialist and as a manager.
The requirements: You hold a university degree in Mechanical Engineering, to which you have added at least two years? experience within Mechanical Design. You are also used to work in 3D-CAD, ideally NX. It is also very positive if you have administration competence in CAD and PDM, together with experience from high voltage products. We constantly have to meet common goals, which requires that you are efficient. The work runs in projects where you must enjoy and have the ability to collaborate well with others. Naturally, you are also a responsible individual who understands complex systems.
You will be part of ABB Mechanical Design (VM) in Ludvika, a business unit within High Voltage Direct Current. We are responsible for mechanical design of converter valves. Our unit has 19 co-workers, a few are working at our office in Chennai, India. ABB made way for HVDC technology for more than 50 years, when we manufactured the world?s first commercial transmission link for high voltage direct current in Sweden. ABB is still world leading within HVDC technology and has more than 60 HVDC projects that increase transmission capacity in facilites around the world.
