We are looking for a software developer who wants to produce smart functions in order to ensure that our vehicles and users can carry out transport operations in the most efficient way. We believe that you have a master of science or equivalent who puts the customer first and has the ability to see their own contributions in a larger context.
• Flexible and can work with different features/initiatives over time
• Ability to work with complex questions and issues in a constructive way
• Capacity to relate to other people’s opinions and interest in team collaboration
• A quality-conscious employee who is excited to reach ambitious goals
• Good knowledge in Matlab/Simulink and C/C++
Driveability and efficiency of our future premium vehicles require state-of-the-art integration between the powertrain and our autonomous systems. Therefore, the best candidates could be expected to have knowledge of embedded systems development as well as autonomous systems.
Vehicle tests are carried out continuously to ensure that the right functionality is developed. Therefore is European B driver’s license required and professional driver experience is highly meritorious (but not required).
Who are we as a team/organization?
As we move through the paradigm shift of electrification, autonomous and connected vehicles creates the need to accelerate our capabilities within state of the art powertrain integration with autonomous systems and offboard applications. To do this we have created the value stream Efficient Transport Functions. Our mission is to help our customers reach their destination in the most efficient way. Some of our initiatives from the recruiting team include:
• Reliability and sustainability through efficient gear selection strategies for all Scania powertrains, both autonomous and with driver
• Ease of use through an intuitive powertrain user interface and well thought out functions
• Drivability through software for optimizing vehicle low speed behaviour
You are part of a highly integrated team that develops strategic powertrain functions with focus on driveability and integration with our autonomous systems or interfacing directly with the driver. This includes functions such as gear selection strategy, driving resistance/weight estimation, and HMI for the powertrain. You have a great impact on the final product through our functions and contributing to Scania’s vision of a sustainable transport system.
