Fortum Recycling & Waste has operations in the Nordics, the UK and Rwanda consisting of environmental waste management services, hazardous waste treatment and operations and maintenance expertise for powerplants as well as material recycling services including solutions for batteries, plastics, metals, and ash and slag waste streams across Europe.

We are looking for an EHS Coordinator (Environmental, Health and Safety) for our Fortum Recycling & Waste business area Sweden EHSSQ team.

Fortum Recycling & Waste has operations in the Nordics and the UK consisting of environmental waste management services, hazardous waste treatment as well as material recycling services including solutions for batteries, plastics, metals, and ash and slag waste streams across Europe.

About the role
You will be supporting our operative line organisation and teams on safe and sustainable execution of our business and operative processes. Furthermore you will be focusing providing support for our operations at Swedish Material Recycling Centers and Metals & Slag business operations. In this role you coordinate, develop, monitor, and report the implementation of our EHS requirements, targets and actions. Support managers and employees with the goal of building a strong safety culture.
You will work in close cooperation with our Sweden EHSSQ team experts, operative business units and sites, Recycling and Waste business area EHSQ team and external stakeholders and authorities.

About you
You preferably hold an MSc in Engineering (preferably with a focus on Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety) or in another related field.
Experience and proven track record at EHS management at industrial environment.
We expect you to be familiar with health and safety, and to be acquainted with legislation and the respective authorities. 
You should have knowledge in regards to the relevant ISO standards for the industry.
To be Successfull in this role we will look for an active person with good communication and team player skills, you are interested in developing new ways of working and not afraid of overcoming obstacles and achieving results. Proficiency in collaborative teamwork is essential, as this role entails close interaction with various internal and external stakeholders.
