Sales Area Northern Europe, supporting the business areas Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions (SMR) and Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions (SRP), are responsible for sales and service activities in 21 countries in northern, central and eastern Europe. Our business is split between the mining and construction industries, and our customer base represents a wide variety of applications. Right now, we’re looking for a motivated EHS Manager – a team player with strong business acumen and leadership skills who’s eager to drive our important EHS work and make cultural change!
Briefly about job
In this position, you take the functional lead for the territory EHS managers and represent both SMR and SRP for northern Europe. You contribute to creating standards as part of the EHS Management team in SRM/SRP, and you develop and connect the EHS plans and increase awareness with the aim to drive change. In addition, you ensure a safe working environment by making sure our territories comply all necessary health and safety requirements and legislation. You also make sure that we act for a setting where all employees promote a proactive, safe working environment. Working with other EHS colleagues, both within SMR and SRP as well as within Sandvik Group, you share best practice and create a stable EHS structure within the business. You have a hands-on approach while supplying guidance and supporting method statements for work carried out, and you secure reporting on all EHS KPI’s in northern Europe.
You have an important role in supporting our sales organizations’ communication with customers regarding EHS and Sustainability. In addition, you participate in Sales Area Management team meetings to ensure that alignment with directives from the global EHS guidelines. Another important part of the job is being part of the core Sales Area Crisis team.
The location for this position is Malmö, and traveling to our sites in Europe is part of your job.
Your character
You have a solid background in leading and driving EHS matters and activities related to cultural change. You also have a relevant university degree, and it’s beneficial if you have experience from a similar industry as we operate in. Acting in an international, cross-country environment suits you very well, and your flexible and open-minded attitude is a great tool when facing people from different cultures. This means that you need to be fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.
Your personality matters to us! You’re a self-motivated leader, and with your valuable knowledge, you have the ability to affect those around you. By being focused and proactive, you’re motivating us in the mission to drive culture development, and you show excellent communication skills and steadily build trust and inspire commitment.
