Joining us as our new EHS Specialist for Additive Manufacturing (AM) at Sandvik Manufacturing & Machining Solutions, we offer you the chance to grow, develop and take on new challenges that come with working in a successful and fast-growing company, in an international environment. What about your job?
Working independently as our key specialist in the field, you support and guide managers across all areas of EHS. Working in close collaboration with your colleagues, the EHS team in Wales and other co-workers, you always have someone to share your best practice and exchange ideas with. Taking a proactive role for all our operations sites in Sandviken, you ensure that local compliance with regulations and best practice is adhered to.
Other important parts of your mission:
Working closely with colleagues within quality and other related functions to ensure continuous improvements and compliance with international quality standards, such as ISO14001, 45000 and ASR9100.
Being a key member of the AM site management team for Sandviken and actively support and contributing to several other management teams.
Taking a proactive approach to collaboration and sharing best practices with other units within Sandvik, for example with Metal Powder colleagues and other key stakeholders within Sandvik Machining Solutions.
Who you are?
For this role, you need knowledge about AFS and Swedish legislation within EHS – such as flammable substances and chemicals, and it would be an advantage to understand relevant ISO certificates (ISO14001, ISO45000, AS9100 and ISO13485). A relevant education within the area of EHS is a must. We do believe that you need experience working hands on with EHS ideally in an international production environment – where health and safety is most important – either developed from previous similar roles or with the right drive, ambition and interest you can be newly graduated with experience from shorter assignments, such as placements or summer jobs. Knowledge about risk management within production, Such as Metal Powder, Cemented Carbide or Cobalt Handling is nice to have. Proficient knowledge in both Swedish and English is important as you work both locally and in close collaboration with English speaking colleagues in Wales and other parts of the world.
Being alone in your role in Sandviken, you have no problem in working independently while at the same time, you enjoy teamwork and collaboration and are certain of the fact that great solutions emerge when sharing best practices. You’re curious and eager to expand your knowledge and make sure to stay up to date with changes in your field. With your great communication skills, you can engage others and create a buy-in with managers and help them understand the importance of prioritizing their EHS work.
