About the role
In compliance with MSC procedures, local legislation and accounting rules, the job holder manages the finance team and carries out operational tasks in order to provide and ensure an effective operational service for MSC Cruises Scandinavia. The Finance Manager will also from a Commercial point of view, support sales and marketing departments in the Scandinavian market.

Key responsibilities
In line with MSC procedures, local legislation and accounting rules, preforms and monitors all accounting activities performed by the Finance Team of MSC Cruises Scandinavia and guarantee accuracy and quality of accounting results. (on time accounting reporting, monthly reconciliations, annual report/audit, legal and tax framework updates, collection terms, ad hoc reporting etc.)
Follows up general and administrative expenses budget for MSC Cruises Scandinavia in order to ensure continuous cost control.
Act as an financial partner within Commercial; sales and marketing activities in order to follow up forecasts, support business decisions and provide relevant information and updates upon requests from head office.
Performs the Scandinavian Business Intelligence reports in order to provide relevant information and decision support.
Participates to local and global ad hoc projects in order to contribute to the development of the finance/accounting processes.



About you
You have a hands-on approach and enjoy both routine working tasks as well as tasks that requires more analytic skills and qualified experience. You are used to working independently with all parts of accounting and forecasting. Good work planning is needed in order to meet deadline schedules. You have a unpretentious and positive attitude.


Your experience
University degree in accounting, business economics or equivalent knowledge gained through other means
At least 8 years’ experience in accounting/finance department, preferrably in an international group of companies
Good understanding of databases/BI tools and work experience in development and maintenance of Business Intelligence reports
Fluent in Swedish and English
Excellent communication skills
Strong understanding and proven application IFRS, GDPR and Local Gaap
Proven team leadership skills
