About us
Electric Drive Software at Volvo Cars are leaders within SW development for Electric Vehicles. We are responsible for delivering system solution and SW functionality for the Inverters and electric machines in our electrified vehicles. Our vision is to deliver the best and most innovated functions to the market and continuously evolve our Software platform.

About you
You have background within Power Electronics field and is a natural initiator that commit to deliver the Team´s deliverables with high precision on quality. You are a team player that contribute and bring out the best from your fellow team members and work actively to increase your work network. You should work pro-active and persistent in leading or contributing in cross-functional improvements. You need to be on advanced level in the English language and be comfortable and skilled in explaining or understanding complexed solutions.

What´s in it for you
You will work with model-based development, mainly with Simulink but also debug and make low level programming with C++. Together with your team members you are also responsible for integrating the diagnostics software on Application layer with BSW layer as part our build and release process. As variant handling will be key when Volvo Cars deploy more exiting electrical vehicles using our SW Platform, it requires that are used to work with tools for handling calibration and be part of scripting for automating testing towards our Continues Integration chain.

You will be part of the Diagnostics development team as a SW Function Developer.
The Diagnostics teams responsibilities are:
•    Develop diagnostic functions in terms of monitors/DTC:s, DID:s, FID:s, control routines etc.
•    Perform fault mode analysis
•    Writing requirements
•    Write instructions to workshops

The agile team consist of enthusiastic people with a mix of gender, ages and nationalities. High focus on collaboration and communication within the group and it is good cohesion between the group members. New members always get a warm welcome, support and acceptance.

You and your skills
You have Master of Science or Bachelor of Science within Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics and you are experienced within diagnostics. You have experience within C, C++, Python, Matlab / Simulink as well as embedded SW, integration of micro controllers and model bases SW development. Insight within CI and Devops from automotive powertrain is a plus. You have worked with debugging / testing embedded software systems and have experience within automated integration testing.
You have worked with the Autosar toolchain as well as BSW components and you are experienced in the SCRUM / agile SW development process.

Hardware knowledge is meritorious, and you definitely have a Swedish or European driver’s license.
