About us
Electric Drive Software at Volvo Cars are leaders within SW development for Electric Vehicles. We are responsible for delivering system solution and SW functionality for the Inverters and electric machines in our electrified vehicles. Our vision is to deliver the best and most innovated functions to the market and continuously evolve our Software platform.

About you
You have experience within Power Electronics field and is a natural initiator that commit to deliver the Team´s deliverables with high precision on quality. You are a team player that contribute and bring out the best from your fellow team members and work actively to increase your work network. You should work pro-active and persistent in leading or contributing in cross-functional improvements. You need to be on advanced level in the English language and be comfortable and skilled in explaining or understanding complexed solutions.

What´s in it for you
You would be a part small energetic fault tracer team working with inverter and electric machine related issues within the department as well as outside of the department. Some issues are to be relayed to the responsible team within the art and some need more hands-on attention. The location can vary from HIL rigs within the department to machine and inverter rigs within the building to works shops and test sites in all of Sweden or the world.

The area of electrification is expanding rapidly, and the department as a whole is growing. This has led to that the responsibility and the way of working of our fault tracers is also in the process of changing. This is a great opportunity for you to affect how the role itself evolves.

Main responsibilities:
* Perform fault tracing on the electric drives system in prototype vehicles, test rigs, boxcars and production cars
* Perform SW fault analysis and drive root cause identification
* Test and verify electric drives SW during development phase
* Perform development testing on new SW functionality in collaboration with function developers
* Manage needed test environments, test benches and plant models
* Support during prototype/vehicle builds and commissioning activities


You and your skills
You are an experienced automotive fault tracer with knowledge within electrification and a university degree or equivalent competence. Relevant job experience relative to testing and development of automotive SW and model-based controls systems.
You have experience from hands-on vehicle/rig testing and fault tracing.

Competence within SW testing (e.g. in MIL, SIL, HIL, Rigs, vehicle), vehicle measurement and calibration activities and the used tool chain for this (DSA, CANalyzer, INCA, DTECS).

Competence in VCC quality systems and DRO-data as well as Matlab/Simulink, Autosar is meritorious. You are fluent in English, verbally and in writing and you have a Swedish or an EU driver’s license.
