The department Electric Propulsion System Engineering is responsible for development of all major parts of hybrid and electric vehicle systems at Volvo Cars. Sub-systems as Electric Drives, HV Batteries, Power supplies, Chargers etc. are some of our responsibilities.

Our group Electric drives and power supply SW development is responsible for delivering SW functionality for the electric drive system in our electrified vehicles. Our vision is to deliver the best functionality in the market and continuously evolve our development platform. We are striving towards continuous integration and delivery of SW functionality and we are well underway of achieving it. As a function developer at Volvo Cars you will be part of a highly agile SW development team and deliver state of the art functionality to our electrified vehicle projects. You will utilize a model based development process and be part of all phases of the development, from design and implementation to vehicle testing and fine tuning of your functions.

Main responsibilities

* Model based SW development of electric drives functionality
* Utilize Autosar structured architecture, workflow & tool chain
* Perform development testing in different test environments
* Perform calibration activities in vehicles and other test environments
* Part of a SCRUM development team
* Support SW/system design team with requirement engineering
* Interact with suppliers about SW function design solutions

Required qualifications

* University degree within electronics, mechatronics, SW engineering or equivalent competence
* Simulink and model based SW development
* Relevant job experience relative to development of automotive SW and control systems
* Driver license B
* Good English skills, verbally and in writing
* Competence within C-programming, Autosar, SCRUM/agile development, SW build environments, Continuous integration, SW testing (MIL, SIL, HIL, Rigs, vehicle), in vehicle measurement and calibration activities and tool chain (INCA, DTECS) is meritorious
