What’s in it for you?
The ART (Agile Release train) Deceleration & Steering, part of the Solution Vehicle Platform within the unit Product Creation at Volvo Car Group, is now looking for a committed and collaborative colleague. The ART Deceleration & Steering is responsible for the delivery of the complete Brake and Steering systems, including components like a caliper, brake modulation, steering gear, etc. The ART is divided into 3 competence areas;Steering SW and Controls, Brake SW and Mechatronics, Brake and Steering HW. You will be a part of the Brake SW and Mechatronics group.
We work in close collaboration with our suppliers, internal customers, and several different car projects. We deliver to new car projects and current running production. Working as a Senior Developer you will have the possibility to influence the future of our systems. Together with your teammates, your scrum master, and your product owner you will secure that Volvo Cars deliver the best control system on the market. You will have the possibility to develop a great network since you will be working closely with our suppliers, internal customers. Finally, you will have the possibility to improve and develop the way of working in the team/ART. This role requires high communication skills, and you will be encouraged to constantly develop yourself. As a Senior Developer, you will interact with others in the same position within as well as outside the ART. You will be the representative for your area and collaborate with stakeholders. What you’ll do
As an Electric Hardware Design Engineer, you will be responsible for Electric hardware ECU development for next-generation actuator control ECUs. You will be responsible for that the solutions that you develop are in line with Volvo Cars requirements and of course legal requirements in every market. You will work in a cross-functional scrum team consisting of approx. 6 people. You will also be a part of a community of practice where you have your 2 closest colleagues inside the ART.
Do you fit the profile?
You have a Master’s degree in hardware electronic or related field. Several years of experience in areas such as:
* Analog and digital circuitry
* Microcontroller technology
* PCB layout design
* Component selection
* EMC filter design
* Electric Motor Driver Stage Design
* EDA tools
* Hardware troubleshooting
* Industry-standard tools operation, such as oscilloscope, multimeter, logic analyzer
Technical Competencies/skills that we value:
* Automotive Safety standards ISO26262 (especially Part 5)
* Automotive sensor design
* Experience in Environmental Standards for qualification of embedded electrical and electronic hardware (ex: ISO 16750)
* DFMEA and hardware metrics calculation
* BLDC design
