Electric Propulsion Engineers, Driveline Systems

Driveline Systems at Volvo CE is the core competence center within Volvo CE for driveline development, including systems engineering, SW & controls and design, and is responsible for developing transmissions, brakes and wheel axles for all Volvo CE products e.g. Articulated Haulers, Wheel Loaders and Motor Graders.

We have a challenging and exciting future ahead of us to maintain our world leading position and to reach our strategic targets. We are currently developing the next generation of driveline systems to meet future demands on our products with regard to performance, fuel consumption and reliability.

In order to meet these demands, we are looking for talented persons to strengthen the capacity and competence within electromobility and electric propulsion systems.

We require talented Systems Engineers, Lead Engineers and Design Engineers mechanical and electrical design, within Electric Propulsion Systems and the sub components Electrical motors, Power electronics and Electrical Storage Systems.

As a Senior Engineer you will be responsible for the deliveries in one or more projects concerning the component/s. You need not only meet the deliveries in time but also with the right level of quality. The jobs include requirement specification, concept design/selection, detailed design and follow up on the requirements. A lot of the engineering is performed together with partners and requires a lot of interaction and cooperation within and outside of the Volvo Group.

Qualifications
- M.Sc. or B.Sc in Engineering in mechatronics, electronics, mechanics or similar
- For a senior position minimum of 5 years of experience within the relevant area
- Driveline/propulsion Design experience is positive
- Experience of 3D CAD design and development in Catia v5 is positive for mechanical design engineers

- Good communication and documentation skills

- High level of integrity and quality mindset
- Ability to work and perform in cross-functional project teams, both inside and outside the company
- Self going and be able to take initiative
- Good command of Swedish and English, both written and spoken
- Interest in machines and especially drivelines are positive
