As electrical and control engineer, you are responsible for configuring and maintaining the electrical systems for Quintus products. The job involves close cooperation with sub-suppliers to create cost efficient and qualitative solutions. As an electrical engineer, you specify all electrical hardware in our products, including electrical cabinets, external components and routing. You are responsible for ensuring that the electrical design meets the standards and safety regulations for electrical installations. You will also drive cost and performance improvements. Even though your primary task is hardware design you will be able to work with PLC programming
An important part of the role will be to contribute and drive the work with modularization and standardization.
Our electrical design is generated in AutoCad & elMaster and product lifecycle management is done in Teamcenter.
You will work closely with automation engineers and fluid systems engineers within the department, but also colleagues within mechanical engineering, in our local workshop and commisioning engineers to ensure our system delivery.
You report to Manager System Modules. The position is located in Västerås.
Main tasks
Electrical design including circuit diagrams and connection diagrams
Create layout and equipment specification for electrical cubicles
Configuration management
Collaboration with sub-suppliers
PLC programming
Specify and perform inspections and tests on module, sub-module and component level
Drive cost and performance improvements
Drive modularization and standardization
Your profile
You have an engineering degree preferably within mechatronics, electronics or similar working experience. You have at least 3 years experience from working as electrical engineer in an industrial setting. You have solid experience of working with electrical design and standardization. Experience of working with agile methods is an advantage.
You are a structured problem solver with a genuine technical interest who takes initiative and drive your work forward. You have good communication skills and enjoy to collaborate with others.
