As an Electrical Design Engineer you will drive and support technical investigations and collaborate with many different functions within engineering and manufacturing to deliver smart, innovative traction products to customers all over the world. In this role you will lead a small project team with colleagues both onsite and offsite, plan and coordinate the work related to electrical integration and industrialization. You will be responsible for electrical interfaces and signals and sometimes also perform design activities such as developing circuit diagrams, designing harness, or specifying and performing tests. As the one coordinating the electrical scope you must have a passion for bringing both people and all the technical details together. In this role you will have the opportunity to be part of all phases in the product life cycle from design to final validation, and field support once our products are delivered to customers.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate, plan and lead the work of a small project team of engineers both onsite and offsite regarding electrical integration and industrialization.
• Drive and support technical investigations and design activities related to the electrical scope for products in development and in the field.
• Define electrical interfaces and signals (hardware and software).
• Collaborate with and support mechanical and manufacturing engineers in the integration of harnesses and electrical components.
• As part of the development team, perform one or more of the following development activities; develop or review circuit diagrams, define harnesses, specify and support tests in production.
• Support product lead with bid support, analysing requirements from customers or system architects and translate them into requirements valid for the converter product.
• Support other functions, colleagues with reviews.
Qualifications:
• Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering physics or equivalent education
• At least 3 years of work experience in relevant field of electrical engineering (Power Electronics, Converter engineering, Power systems, Traction)
• Knowledge of E3 is desirable.
• Experience of planning, coordination or leading a smaller team is an advantage.
• English, business fluent, is mandatory for this role.
