Marine & Ports is a business unit within ABB’s Process Automation division that assists shipping companies to transfer containers in a reliable, fast and cost-efficient way. Specialized in advanced automation and information systems for motion control of all types of container cranes, Marine & Ports is the leading supplier of crane systems and is active worldwide.
You will be part of the Engineering Support team, responsible for supporting projects and clients with electrical design solutions, software applications and electrical drive systems in our global delivery projects of advanced automatic port systems. In this important role, you will be a key-player to enable smooth project execution that fulfills the customer requirements and to provide support during commissioning and operation of the crane systems at the terminal sites around the world.
Your responsibilities
Prepare the electrical design and integration of container cranes which includes several interesting technical areas such as driveline, automation equipment as well as MV and LV switchgears.
Ensure that the project deliverables are finalized on time with right quality within the budget.
Based on customer design requirements, develop the detailed plant documentation such as circuit diagram, assembly drawings, connection tables, dimension drawings etc.
Technical reviews and discussions with customers, partners, subcontractors and vendors.
Control our panel builders so that our standard is followed and check that the quality of the built units meets the requirements.
Collaborating and networking with engineering colleagues, sharing best practice across different projects and disciplines.
Helping customers resolve technical issues both remotely and on domestic and international customer sites.
Maintaining and enhancing customer satisfaction by providing excellent service at all stages of the projects.

Your background
A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field. Alternatively, you could have a YH-education together with some years of work experience.
Experience from working as Electrical Design Engineer in delivery projects or with products.
Experience of Engineering Base, Eplan or similar tools.
Knowledge of ABB PLCs or drives would be advantageous.
A high level of self-motivation, curiosity, and a desire to learn about new technologies, is essential.
A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills in English, both oral and written. Proficiency in Swedish language is a plus.
