Electrical Design Engineer to Crane Systems

You will be part of Crane Systems in Västerås. ABB?s business for crane systems helps ports, shipping companies, power plants and the steel industry to transfer containers, bulk materials and steel products in a reliable, quick and cost efficient way. Cranes is specialized in advanced automation and information systems for motion control of container cranes, bulk cranes and steel mill cranes. We are focusing on the export market and consider ourselves to be the most dedicated crane system integrator in the world. Container cranes are today large robots that automatically transfer and stack containers with high accuracy and also load and unload ships and vehicles. In modern container terminals all cranes are coordinated to achieve an optimal production.
Challenge: As an Electrical Design Engineer you will be responsible for the design work in our delivery projects. The main activities are to produce the plant circuit diagram for the complete crane system and to produce the manufacturing documentation for low voltage distribution and control system equipment. The next step in you career can be as leading Design Engineer where you will be technically responsible towards customers in delivery projects and lead the internal design work. You will meet an international environment and have a large global customer base. Moreover, in this position you will experience freedom with responsibility and have the opportunity to grow continuously.

Requirements: You hold a technical high school diploma or a Bachelor in Electrical Engineering. Further, you have experience from electrical design or plant design and related tools. Furthermore, you must be proficient in Swedish and English, written and spoken alike, and have the ability to work towards common goals in a structured and meticulous way.
