Electrical Design Manager

As Electrical Design manager you will lead a team that dimensions the transformer dielectrically, magnetically, thermally, and mechanically. Since each transformer is tailor made to suit customer needs, your team will work closely with the end customer when developing a technical solution which is material, loss and labor optimized. Your team is responsible for performing design work for tenders and orders, which includes cost calculations of transformers.

Your responsibilities
Support and coach your team and be liable for the competence development
Plan the team activities and secure that the team complete with high quality in a timely manner
Initiate and drive continuous improvement activities and knowledge sharing
Drive your team’s performance to ensure that safety, integrity, financial and contractual requirements are met
Improve operational performance of the department in collaboration with your colleagues
Ensure that tenders are released to sales with the right costs and optimized material content
Enable people growth and improvements in operational, quality, and technical aspects
Manage a broad range of organizational and technical aspects connected to the operations

Your background
You hold a university degree in Science and have proven work experience in engineering environment
Previous management experience is an advantage
You have solid interest in technology and are eager to learn and develop
As a leader you are inspirational, people oriented, empowering, and accountable
As person you are a team player who has good listening & coaching skills to build trust with your team and different stakeholders
Fluency in English is required, both written and spoken
