Electrical Designer to HVDC

You will be part of HVDC within the Power Systems division in Ludvika. The HVDC technology has been on the market for the past 50 years and is used to transmit power over long distances with minimal losses, using overhead lines, underground and submarine cable systems. Tasks
As an Electrical Designer with us, you will join an inspiring team that works with completion of the world?s largest power transmission links. It is a diverse and independent job, within our project groups, with lots of responsibility and you will have great opportunities to develop your skills within HVDC.
Our department is responsible for the hardware integration during upgrades of our old HVDC plants. This includes design, documentation, supervising installation and commissioning of the control and protection systems, as well as auxiliary power systems and auxiliary systems (i.e. fire systems, interlocking systems, etc.). Supporting and supervising on-site installation and commissioning around the world is an important part of our business offering.
The design tools used are Engineering Base and our own design tool HiDraw, together with different Office programs and documentation systems.
The work will entail, among other things, design of assembly and installation documentation including cabling for upgrades of existing projects.

Requirements
You are an electrical designer with work experience within the area and/or educated as an electrical engineer. It is also possible that you are an experienced electrician, who have worked with electrical installations at power plants, substations or similar.
We are also looking for persons that have experience from work with auxiliary power systems and/or auxiliary systems. It is also positive if you have worked with control systems, PLC programming, etc. and/or testing of such systems.
