Electrical Engineer

One of the world's leading technology companies is looking for an Electrical Engineer that will join their team who's mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more.

Period: ASAP to June 30th 2024 (full-time), with a big possibility of extension.

Location: Gävle and Sandviken.

About the role

- Work with commissioning teams to properly test and validate installation, operation, and performance of electrical systems.

- Act as the technical authority for on-site operations related to a large-scale mission critical electrical system.

- Establish and coordinate maintenance and safety operating procedures, maintaining highly redundant electrical infrastructure.

- Managing the electrical infrastructures throughout data center campus ranging from a single, large-capacity facility to several smaller ones

- Overall responsibility for the safe operation of our facilities including Microsoft staff safety and partner teams.

- Management of the ongoing CE maintenance support for all service lines to pre-defined SLAs. This is to ensure service uptime is maintained to the highest standards and that faults are dealt with in a timely manner.

- Work with Construction and Commissioning team to properly integrate the new Electrical systems to existing data center.

- Support and validate on-site data centers operations in relation to the electrical infrastructure.

- Be an Electrical SME for on-site operations related to mission critical electrical system, operations, and functionality.

- Empower Operational Optimization and Efficiency improvement initiatives.

Who you are

- Practical experience with building management systems and automation, controls & frameworks

- Knowledge of construction techniques, terminology, and documentation (Your ability to interpret blueprints, electrical one-lines, construction drawings etc.)

- Established understanding of electrical theory and practical application via your maintenance & operation of critical electrical equipment. (Paralleling switchgear, redundant UPS systems, DC battery strings, multi-source electrical utility switchgear, standby diesel generators, etc.

- Experience with the operation and maintenance of building electrical systems. (Power distribution, lighting, grounding, generators, UPS, and battery packs, ATS, fire alarm and Monitoring systems)

Required: Experience with electrical systems in a high availability assembly / manufacturing / critical infrastructure environment such as data centers, oil and gas refineries, hospitals, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or related fields.

Required: Very Strong technical engineering experience

OR Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field AND Good technical engineering experience

OR Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field AND Good technical engineering experience.
