In this position, you will be the technical lead and design authority for engineering activities related to Low and Medium voltage electrification engineering projects in process industries (P&P, Metals, Battery Manufacturing and Mining) in Northern Sweden.
Reporting to the engineering manager, you will drive excellence, make technical recommendations to ensure that engineering activities are effectively executed in accordance with expectations, specifications, standards and safety requirements, while identifying improvement opportunities.
Your responsibilities
• Deliver engineering competence in customer projects designing solutions, ensuring quality and cost is fulfilled.
• Take the leading role in installation and commissioning phase of customer projects, testing of protective relays, leading subcontractors and making sure project delivery is accepted by customer.
• Aid project managers with claims related to changes in the project scope, including assessing cost and time impacts, as well as risk quantifications.
• Provide technical details, costs and deliverables for sales proposals, while assisting project managers in technical reviews and discussions with customers and other parties.
• Resolve complex technical issues both remotely and at customer sites in Sweden and elsewhere, also specify travel requirements in Sweden.
• Maintain and enhance customer satisfaction by offering dialogue and excellent service at all times.
• Work and network with engineering colleagues, while disseminating best practices.
Your background
• More than 5 years of experience in leading Low and Medium voltage electrification engineering projects.
• Sound knowledge of project management and engineering techniques, processes and tools, including project planning tools.
• A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following workplace safety guidelines.
• A high level of self-motivation, curiosity and desire to learn about new technologies.
• A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach with strong written and spoken communication skills.
• A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar experience.
• Language skills in Swedish are required.
