We are now looking for an electrical engineer to join our team.
Battery Optimization and Monitoring – Technology is a function within Volvo Energy that works with second life applications of vehicle battery packs, monitoring and data analytics, optimization of remaining useful life, battery safety and new offerings for stationary Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
Working in very close cooperation with our colleagues from Volvo Group and especially Group Trucks Technology, we create new business offer opportunities as well as value propositions.
What are we looking for in this specific role?
We are now looking for an Electrical Engineer. Stepping into this role, you will be the cornerstone of our product development team. You will be part of a team that develops advanced energy storage solutions that harness the power of Volvo Group batteries. In this role, you bring your technical expertise to lay the engineering foundation that bring our battery energy storage systems to life.
Your starting point will be:
* Supporting on the development and design of electrical drawings like single line diagrams, schematics, and other wiring diagrams for stationary battery energy storage systems.
* Perform electrical design duties associated with project scope of work.
* Technical review of documents provided by vendors.
* Supporting on the preparation of short circuit, load flow and arc flash documentation.
* Supporting on quality control of all deliverables within the scope of engineering.
* Work closely with the senior engineers to provide deliverables to a variety of projects.
* Supporting on the preparation of electrical equipment specifications, data sheets, purchase requisitions and bid evaluations for inverters, switch gears, transformers and other equipment as required.

What are the qualifications likely required to be successful?
* You hold at least a bachelor’s within electric power, renewable engineering or related field.
* Experience in similar branch (energy industry, not automotive) is of advantage.
* Practical experience with design of power systems for utility installations, photo-voltaic plants, or stationary battery energy storage systems is a plus.
* Flexible and agile, with the ability to manage change.
* Fluent in English
