Electrical Engineer - Milan, Italy

Job description The objective of the position is to ensure compliance with established company and project specific procedures and engineering design standards during execution of the project and the timely completion of the activities.The scope of the position covers all reviews and support of electrical design activities associated with the contractors' activities for the project.General duties: - have a full knowledge of the Basic Engineering package - have a full knowledge of the Engineering Contractors scope as per the Contract - have full understanding of the Engineering Contractors Schedule and the activities and deliverables for the discipline and be a driver to ensure the latter are achieved in a timely manner.- agree the proposed budget with the Engineering Manager (prior to commencing work), for his department, for the work to be undertaken.- ensure that all tasks assigned by the Engineering Manager are completed on time and within budget - attend internal/external design reviews and other meetings, as necessary - attend internal training courses as requested by the Engineering Manager and be aware of external training courses which could be of benefit - keep up to date with and adhere to Company and Project related procedures - make yourself fully familiar with Company Common Engineering Specifications and drive in the development of Common Engineering Specifications.Give the appropriate feedback to the workgroup.NOTE: In this position you will be stationed in Milan, Italy for the first 18 months and in Stenungsund, Sweden for the next 24 months. Qualifications You have a Master degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent), a minimum 10 years of working experience, high degree of computer literacy and a vast knowledge of the discipline.You need to have previous knowledge of electrical installations and technical experience, preferably in a maintenance or project environment working with contactors.Also comprehensive onshore construction and investment project experience is necessary, as is experience of polymerization plants.
