Electrical Engineer to HVDC

As an Electrical Engineer with us, you will join an aspiring team that works with the completion of the world’s largest power transmission links. It is a diverse and independent job, within our project groups, with lots of responsibility and you will have great opportunities to develop your skills within HVDC. Our department is responsible for the electrical design of HVDC plants. This includes design, documentation, testing, supervising the installation and commissioning of the control and protection systems. Supporting and supervising on-site installation and commissioning around the world is an important part of our business offering.

You are an electrical designer with work experience within your field and/or educated as an electrical engineer. It is also relevant if you are an experienced electrician who has worked with electrical installations at power plants, substations or similar. You have an advantage if you are familiar with control systems, PLC programming and/or testing of such systems. We are also open to talking to new graduates with electrical power emphasis.

You will be part of HVDC within the Power Grids division in Ludvika. The HVDC technology has been on the market for the past 60 years and is used to transmit power over long distances with minimal losses, using overhead lines, underground and submarine cable systems.
