Electrical Engineer - Vehicle Cabling

We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Engineer - Vehicle Cabling & Integration in our Passengers Division in Västerås, Sweden. The Job Role: The successful candidate will be responsible for the electrical design area of vehicle cabling throughout the project's life cycle. Key Accountabilities: - Produce the necessary technical documents that are required for purchase and installation of vehicle cabling and belonging electrical equipment. - Participate in regular design meetings and reviews during the project design phases; both internally with other engineering disciplines and externally with customers and other stakeholders. - Detail design of vehicle cabling; generation of wiring tables, cabling and purchase drawings, material lists and feeding back generated information to the circuit diagram. - Support for the area of responsibility, to procurement / strategic supply, sub-suppliers and production. - Take responsibility for development of own competence and the technical area including the process, the E-CAD and M-CAD systems used (esp. wiring and cabling part) and other tools. Education and Experience required: - Engineering degree or minimum of 4 years relevant experience - Structured approach and good communication skills - Experience with the corresponding engineering tools used; wiring tool, electrical schematic tool, M-CAD tool (preferable CATIA V5 with E3D Cabling module) would be an advantage - Have a capability to perform in an international operating environment and a willingness to travel - Have knowledge in procurement principles - Fluent English is a must as well as Swedish.
